By sponsoring this esteemed event, 10bet SA aims to contribute to the growth of community-level sports and encourage community engagement and support.

In partnership with MAP Games, 10bet SA is dedicated to ensuring that the tournament can live up to its legendary legacy by providing the quarterfinalists with quality kits to compete at their best. The kits will provide comfort and durability to enable each kitted team to showcase their true performance on the field.

10bet South Africa’s CSR and PR manager, Zanele Nhlapo, stated that the company firmly believes in the transformative power of sports. “Our confidence comes from a deep understanding of the influence that sports can have on communities; it creates unity and inspires individuals to reach their full potential. We aim to continue to play a pivotal role in our communities by supporting community tournaments, such as Map Games, that continue to ensure sports stay alive in our communities. We would like to extend our best wishes to Map Games and the finalists who made it through. We are honored to be part of their journey and look forward to witnessing these thrilling matches for decades to come,” added Nhlapo.

The MAP Games soccer tournament, affectionately known as the Kasi World Cup, was founded in 2001 and is led by former Bafana Bafana midfielder Alfred Maimane Phiri. Since its inception, the tournament has taken place annually, except during COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, and has created a professional and well-organized platform for aspiring soccer players, coaches, and administrators from all across South Africa and bordering countries to showcase their skills and passion for the game. The MAP Games currently have the largest support base in comparison to other township tournaments of their kind.

“I am very happy that we could provide the eight quarterfinalists with the playing kits and even more excited that the partnership with 10bet enabled us to do so. I can only hope that we can grow this relationship between the two brands further. The past three years have been very challenging, so it is very pleasing to see that there are brands who are willing to extend a helping hand and be part of #idiskiyasekasi,” said Maimane Phiri, Founder of the MAP Games.

I’d like to thank 10bet for their generosity, the clubs—new and old—for being part of the Games, and wish the remaining clubs all the best as they tussle to be champions. I’d also like to thank the incredible team that I work with, the community of Alexandra and surrounding areas, and all those who come from far and wide in their droves to enjoy the beautiful game, added Maimane.

The semi-finals, second leg, and finals of the MAP Games are set to take place on Saturday, July 29, and Sunday, July 30, 2023. The MAP Games matches take place at Emfuleni grounds for the knockout stages and move to Alexandra Stadium for the finals.
