Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Supersport United talisman Dove Wome is available to sign for any club of his choice after parting ways with Togolese National Champions: ASKO Kara.

Wome, who also turned out for the Orlando Pirates on loan in the 2016–17 season, joined ASKO Kara in July 2022, at the end of his four-month second stint with another Togolese outfit in Gomido FC.


Since his departure from the South African football scene in January 2018, the 33-year-oldhas played for five different teams, including Latvian second-tier team JFK. Ventspils, Al-Yarmouk SC in Kuwait, and Al-Diwaniya SC, who were playing in Iraq, where he was in the top-flight division at the time.

The former Togolese international has scored 38 goals and provided 24 assists in 176 appearances across all PSL competitions during his stay in South Africa, which began in the 2011/12 campaign with the Free State Stars until his last days at Supersport.

Additionally, Wome was part of the 2013–14 Sundowns squad that won the club’s first league title in six years under the tutelage of decorated coach Pitso Mosimane. He has also won the Telkom Knockout, MTN8, and Nedbank Cup with Super Sports United.

Meanwhile, former Kaizer Chiefs striker Lazarus Kambole is another ex-PSL player. whose future remains uncertain following his departure from Zambian giants ZESCO United. Kambole was snapped up by the Young Africans on a free transfer following his exit at Chiefs, however, sent him out on loan to ZESCO after six months as he failed to impress.

The loan would then be extended to the entire 2023–24 campaign. Things got even sour between the two parties, with the player filing a case with FIFA. over unpaid wages, resulting in a transfer ban on Yanga, which has since been lifted it remains to be seen where Kambole will be playing football next season.
