Hansi Flick was officially introduced as the manager of FC Barcelona today in a media event at the club premises alongside Joan Laporta.
Having led the team through several pre-season weeks, the German tactician shared insights into his appointment, his vision, and his excitement during his official presentation, emphasising the quality of La Masia players and the collaborative environment at the club.
I want to say that I am very happy. From the first minute, before signing my contract, we had dinner, and the president gave me a letter translated into German. It contained something that made me feel like this is an incredible club, very big, and full of respect and support.
The former Bayern Munich and Germany manager has now been in the position for almost two months. Reflecting on his initial weeks, Flick commented:
I’m very happy with the first few weeks. We have a lot of players from La Masia, and I’m very grateful. for the work done there. It’s been a great experience so far. The first thing I noticed was the quality and intensity. We work very hard in training, and we have wonderful young players who are eager to give
100%
Flick also emphasised the collaborative environment at the club:
I can feel it from the board, the staff, and the coaches. The technical team is new, and the club has made great efforts to bring them in. You have to create this atmosphere for the players so that you can develop them and take them to a higher stage in their career. And that’s what I’m going to focus on.
