A 20 year-old man from Hillbrow in Johannesburg has found his lucky numbers – and used them to win the lottery not just once but twice.

The anonymous winner won his R22,463,200.90, having experienced the thrill of winning with Lotto. In the past, he pocketed R11,000, according to a news release from Ithuba, the proud operator of the national lottery.

The winning ticket was from LOTTO DRAW 2361, which took place on August 19, 2023. The player wagered just R40 and selected his own set of 6 lucky numbers.

When asked about their reaction to hitting the jackpot, the triumphant winner remarked, “I always believed I could win the jackpot, as I’ve seen other players win.
