JOZI Kota festival returns for the second time this year at the FNB Stadium

Jozi kota festival is well known for its pride in celebrating and embracing the famous township food delicacy famously known as Kota across the country.

The event is set to return at the FNB stadium, in Johannesburg South Africa on the 04 October 2025. It will be supported by the line-up of various kota businesses, Ice-cream, soft drink and different merchandise as a way of boosting the local economy and showcasing food creativity, with the record breaking of at least 15 000+ attendees.

Kota festival is proudly presented by Albany, with Clover, Thomson Meats, and Sunfoil as the official supporting sponsors. This year’s festival reinforces its position as a leading platform for culinary innovation, exposure for small businesses, and culturally rooted brand engagement.

The Project manager of Kota festival Buyisile Nkosi says “The growth of Jozi Kota festival is a testament to the cultural and economic values of the township food traditions”. She also mentioned that Kota festival is proud to receive the support from the sponsors as it assists with elevating the Kota business into a nationally celebrated symbol of our creativity, community and entrepreneurship. Jozi Kota will be hosting over 50 different vendors from across the country, ranging from traditional township vendors to gourmet food innovators.
