Pitso Mosimane dismiss attempt to lure Gaston Sirino

Al Wahda head coach Pitso Mosimane chose his words carefully but delivered them forcefully.

Pitso brushed off allegations that he was eager to lure Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Gaston Sirino to the UAE, having missed out on his ‘dream player’ while still at Al Ahly.

Pitso refuted those “lies” and unfounded rumors following the official handover of the Pitso Mosimane Multipurpose Sports Court at Lofentse Girls High School in Orlando East.

Having handed in his transfer request recently, Sirino has been suggested as a possible option to bolster the Al Wahda attack.

However, Pitso has denied reports that the Uruguayan international is a target for Wahda.

“I don’t want to talk about Gaston Sirino because this annoys me so much”.

“Yes, when I was at Al Ahly, I wanted Sirino, and we approached them, and as you know, what happened We never got a price tag. Everyone has a price, but Sirino doesn’t have a price, so how do you buy a player that does not have a price? Where do you start”.

Sirino’s pursuit of Chloorkop’s exit shows that Rulani’s engine room is set for major changes, with a handful of players already linked with moves away.

Despite being knocked out of the CAF Champions League semi-finals last season, Sirino endured a turbulent campaign both domestically and in Africa with Mamelodi Sundowns.
