Fundraising Tour to Brazil: Siyabonga “Siya19” Tshabalala Celebrated in Kagiso

The vibrant community of the West Rand Township of Kagiso extension 2 came together at the Memorial and Recreation Centre on November 01, 2025 to support one of their own superstar biker Siyabonga Tshabalala, affectionately known by his track name, “Siya19”. Born and bred in the heart of Kagiso extension 2, Siya stands proudly as the township’s only professional biker, now preparing to represent South Africa on the international stage in Brazil later this month.
The fundraising event aimed to generate support for Siya’s upcoming tour to Brazil, covering essential expenses such as travel tickets, accommodation, and race entry fees. With the high competition, the event provided a meaningful opportunity for the community to rally behind their local hero.
Attendees filled the venue with excitement and pride, celebrating Siya’s achievements and wishing him success abroad.
During his speech, Siya expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying:
“I’m grateful for the support I received from my family and the community of Kagiso. This special day is to raise funds for my trip to Brazil, and today’s event is part of that journey. I want to encourage those who wish to become bikers in the future to believe in themselves, no matter the challenges.”
The event also featured the unveiling of Siya’s sponsored bike, which he will use in upcoming races – a significant milestone in his racing career.
