Thabo Motlhabi
The IN IT Together NPO Foundation, based in Kagiso 2, at Hillview 3250 Ngqamakhwe Street, recently held a General Meeting for Compliance and New Recruits. The gathering took place at their local centre, bringing together members and stakeholders committed to uplifting disadvantaged communities.
A Journey Rooted in Compassion
Founded about five years ago by a group of compassionate individuals in Kagiso, the IN IT Together NPO Foundation was formed with a clear mission: to care for disadvantaged communities and support centers without government funding.
Since its inception, the foundation has actively worked to alleviate poverty, promote education, and address social issues affecting vulnerable groups—especially in Black communities.
Purpose of the Meeting
The meeting aimed to:
Review the compliance status of the NPO.
Present progress reports detailing the foundation’s work over the past six months.
Introduce new recruits into the organization.
Reinforce internal rules, regulations, and conduct ahead of the year’s end.
Addressing the attendees, Board of Directors member Mr. Essau Moji said: “Our mission is to ensure that we do our part in wiping out illiteracy, poverty, and Gender-Based Violence in our communities.”
A Vehicle for Change
The foundation continues to serve as a vehicle for change, providing:
Food parcels.
School uniforms and shoes.
Toiletries for both girls and boys.
Entrepreneurial skills and training.
Through these efforts, the foundation contributes meaningfully to socioeconomic development in underserved communities.
Adopted Centres
As part of their outreach programs, the foundation has officially adopted two centres in Gauteng:
Nalucedo Community Care Centre
Mamalatjies Orphanage
These partnerships aim to create a lasting impact and help build a brighter future for the communities they serve.
Challenges and Ubuntu Spirit
Despite limited resources and no sponsorships or donors, the IN IT Together NPO Foundation is driven by the spirit of Ubuntu and a strong sense of community love and responsibility.
Looking Ahead
The meeting also included planning for the upcoming year-end event, which will be hosted at one of the adopted centers. The event is set to celebrate the achievements of the year and bring joy to the children and families involved.
