Coca-Cola Gives Fans a Chance to Live the Springbok Dream

Coca-Cola South Africa is bringing supporters closer to the Springboks than ever before with the return of its popular The Coca-Cola® Fan Can Be a Bok campaign for the 2026 rugby season.

The campaign will give selected fans the opportunity to experience an unforgettable match day from inside the Springbok camp — an experience usually reserved for the national team’s players.

For the lucky winners, the journey begins with an official call-up message from Springbok head coach Rassie Erasmus, before they are welcomed into the team’s match-day environment.

Each winner, together with a partner, will stay at the team hotel, attend the Captain’s Run and team photo session, walk through the players’ tunnel and experience the national anthem moments from pitch-side. They will also watch the match alongside Springbok squad members who are not playing on the day.

One fan will be selected for each home Test match during the 2026 season, while another lucky supporter will travel to France later in the year to watch the Springboks during their tour.

The campaign, built on Coca-Cola South Africa’s long-standing partnership with the South African Rugby Union (SARU), celebrates the passion and loyalty of supporters who continue to play a central role in the Springbok story.

“Springbok rugby is more than a game in South Africa, it’s a shared national feeling,” said Mario I. Garcia, Vice President and Managing Director of Coca-Cola South Africa. “With ‘The Coca-Cola Fan Can Be a Bok,’ we’re giving fans the chance to experience the emotion, pride and energy of the team from the inside, while celebrating the role supporters play in every Springbok story.”

As part of the campaign, Coca-Cola has also unveiled a new limited-edition collection of collectible Fan Cans featuring 20 Springbok players.

The collection includes 15 men’s national team players and, for the first time, five Springbok Women stars, highlighting the growing influence of women’s rugby in South Africa. Each can features the player’s face, name and details of their first Springbok call-up, turning the cans into collectibles that celebrate the beginnings of their international journeys.

Among the players featured are Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, Eben Etzebeth, Babalwa Latsha, Sinazo Mcatshulwa and Lindelwa Gwala. A special-edition can featuring Coach Rassie Erasmus is also expected to be released in August.

The campaign will also feature a strong digital presence, with comedian and entertainer Donovan Goliath appointed as the official “Chief Gees Officer”. He will lead a team of content creators tasked with bringing the campaign to life throughout the rugby season.

Fans will also be able to take part in “Shoot Your Shorts”, an interactive second-screen game centred around the Coca-Cola logo on the Springbok team shorts during match broadcasts.

Beyond the exclusive Be a Bok experience, Coca-Cola will roll out fan activations at stadiums, VIP fan zones, interactive games and digital experiences across the country.

The campaign will be supported through retail, radio, outdoor advertising, digital and social media platforms, with Coca-Cola bottling partners Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa and Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages also joining the nationwide fan celebration.

Fans can enter by purchasing a participating promotional Coca-Cola can, scanning the QR code and following the entry instructions.

The promotion is available at participating retailers nationwide.
