Limpopo EFF Student Command member Kganki Mphahlele was expelled with immediate effect by EEFSC for engaging in publicly insulting and defaming EFF and it’s leaders and using social media accounts to bring the organisation and its leaders into disrepute.
Kganki said “that the National People’s Assembly guidelines came out, and they were clear that comrades go campaign at branches and avoid this thing of campaigning in social media.”
On October 26, 2024, EFF’s Provincial Chairperson of Mpumalanga, Michael Collen Sedibe, posted on his X account “Phakama Nyamazane” with the picture of Godrish Gardee.
On October 29, 2024, Sixolise Gcilishe, the EFF’s head of communication in the President’s Office, posted on her X account with a picture of herself and Godrish Gardee with the caption “hear me out,” and the EFF leader reposted the post, and that was seen as an endorsement for Godrish Gardee for Deputy President of the EFF in the coming EFF’s elective conference.
On October 30, 2024, the expelled EFF Student Command member Kganki Mphahlele posted on X saying, “CIC Julius Malema is not an National People’s Assembly (NPA) super delegate; he must not dare try to impose Gordrich Gardee as the EFF Deputy President. We don’t want GG; we want Mbuyiseni Ndlozi as branches. Julius and all his deployees must not dare start a war with branches; war is a very difficult thing.”
Julius Malema responded by saying, “Try me, boys.”
Kganki responded to Malema’s post; he said, “Some people think they’re untouchable, but we will show them that they’re not. If you ever thought that you’re untouchable, just know it’s a lie. We are still on our way, and we will touch you. We are absolutely patient with ourselves; no man must hegemonize the political space.
Mr. Mphahlele released a statement addressing his expulsion from the EFFSC. The statement reads, “We have received an expulsion letter from EFFSC’s CSCT top brass. While there are three official documents that guide our movement: the constitution, code of revolution conduct, and deployment policy, nowhere in any of these is there a clause granting the EFFSC powers to expel a member outright. The EFFSC can only convene a disciplinary hearing and recommend expulsion to the EFF, making this expulsion constitutionally invalid.”
