AMEX TENNIS TOWN RETURNS TO JOHANNESBURG
One of South Africa’s most anticipated sports and lifestyle events, Amex Tennis Town, will return to Montecasino in Johannesburg on 11–12 July 2026, bringing fans another unforgettable Wimbledon-inspired celebration of world-class tennis, entertainment and premium hospitality.
Now in its third consecutive year, Amex Tennis Town has quickly established itself as a standout event on the local sporting calendar since its launch in 2024 by Tennis South Africa (TSA) in partnership with American Express (Amex). American Express is operated in South Africa through its licensee Nedbank.
Designed to capture the magic, tradition and excitement of The Championships, Wimbledon, the event offers tennis fans of all ages the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of one of the world’s most iconic sporting events right here in South Africa.
Fans can look forward to live screenings of key Wimbledon matches on a giant screen, interactive tennis experiences, virtual reality challenges, themed photo moments, and entertainment throughout the weekend.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a dedicated Kids Zone for younger fans, live DJ performances between matches, and indulge in a variety of gourmet food and beverage offerings, including the traditional strawberries and cream famously associated with the tournament.
Tickets are now on sale to both American Express Cardmembers and non-Cardmembers via www.howler.co.za. General Access tickets are priced at R220, Children’s tickets at R50, while entry remains free for children under the age of two. Tickets for the premium Amex Café Hospitality experience are available at R5,578 offering guests an elevated viewing and hospitality experience in an exclusive lounge setting. Any net proceeds from ticket sales, following the full recovery of event costs, will go to TSA and be used to support the American Express Tennis Development Programme, which aims to build local communities and nurture tennis talent in South Africa.
